Robinsons Seafood in Cedar Key

Great food, service and prices.

Went there for the first time. I don't do tomato based chowders, but the grouper chowder (tomato based) was delicious. The all you can eat sea bass, shrimp(nice sized) and the crab cake was also delectable. The fish and shrimp were fried with a light batter. We live in Dunnellon which is a 45 minute trip but we will go back for the food and excellent service from Eve she also was outstanding and very pleasant to have as a server

Robinson's is amazing. They give giant portions at affordable prices, everything is freshly made, the grouper tasted like it was caught about 20 minutes away, and the service was fast. Levi was a very nice waiter who was very attentive to us. We will definitely be returning here.

Love the fried shrimp here. Casual place with good prices, fast service, and not where the tourists go.

Awesome place, came here in late winter very good seafood fresh and cooked. Stopped by this go around and they are closed til September. So it's a great reason to come back to the area.

This is a very good restaurant with a killer all you can eat seafood deal. The seafood is very fresh, and the rest of the food is very high quality. The only downside is that if you are sensitive to Seafood smell, you may want to avoid this place. There is a wholesale seafood market directly attached to the restaurant and it is hard not to notice the smell. However, I believe that the food as well worth it

Worse seafood I ever had. Out of clam chowder but substituted some kind without telling us. Crab cakes were fried, hard as rocks. Everything was fried. Go to steamers.

I didnt even take pics. We stopped on the way out of Cedar Key. I ordered grilled groupie. It was broiled. Wasn't much taste or flavor to it at all. Hush puppies were cold when they served then to us before the meal. Cole slaw was bland. Fries were under cooked and warm. The menus were greasy and tables definitely needed a good washing. They weren't busy, except for gabbing with one another. Clam chowder was tasteless and not hot and just looked lifeless. Would we go back. Not on your life!

So disappointed. Drove 40 miles. Service was confusing and abrasive. Food even worse. $47 later, never again. Used to be really good but something happened somewhere along the way.

We had a very nice Valentine's meal at a cozy, off the beaten path restaurant in Cedar Key, FL. The place was clean, the food was fresh and tasted great, the atmosphere and service delightful. Plus very affordable. The also have an "All you can eat seafood", all day, everyday $15-$16. You MUST visit Robinson Seafood, we will again shortly.

This place has AWESOME FOOD! I tried a bite of a burger and it is so good! The fries are amazing. Try eating hush puppies with ketchup. If you want to go to a seafood place, try Robinson's, they're doing alright with their business and there's a reason why.

I was absolutely amazed by all the food and great prices and the servers there were also outstanding and always there when I needed one. Would recommend to all.

Wanted to love it but it was just ok! Great service but the cole slaw was sour and when we told them they said it was made fresh and they had tasted it. Mullet was sliced and fried fins scales and all. Shrimp was ok and sea bass was good.

Oh My... Several people have told us about this restaurant and we finally stopped there today for lunch. It was the bomb. Such great, fresh seafood. I had the grouper sandwich and it came with a bowl of fish chowder as well as a side of coleslaw and a few hush puppies. My wife had the fried shrimp sandwich and it came with a side of fries as well as coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. Though we both prefer grilled over fried, this was truly delicious. The service was friendly and the staff wanted to make sure you were pleased. Even the owner was there making sure you were happy with your meal. They also have a fresh seafood store attached to the restaurant which had a great selection of fresh fish, oysters, clams, etc...We’ll definitely be heading back there again and we recommend that you do as well.

Stopped in for a mid-week dinner and was well pleased. Fresh tasting grouper and shrimp. The seasoned fries are great and plentiful...very good coleslaw. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. I would pass on the tomato based seafood chowder. Was offered a choice of in house made desserys, but was too full to try them...maybe next time!

I absolutely loved eating at this restaurant. I had the buffet and it was delicious and well worth the money spent! They kept the plates coming and I kept stuffing my face with the tasty plate loads of seafood provided off of their buffet menu. I definitely will recommend this restaurant to friends in the future.

Can't say anything about the restaurant because we have only ever been to the fish market. Scallops we're good, fresh, and local (we bought them all). The smoked mullet dip is the best I've ever had and a few of them flew to Colorado with my brother in law. The key lime pies we ordered are the best in the world from what I can tell. We still have one frozen and ready for a special occasion.

Excellent service!!! We had the daily all-you-can eat special of shrimp and crab cakes and it was great!!! Fresh seafood and served nice and hot! Did I mention excellent service? It was a nice dining experience. We definitely recommend it and will eat there again!!!

Was there today. The food was delicious tasted a little greasy tho. The service was awesome and the sweet tea was perfect.

ALWAYS amazing. REAL clam chowder tonight! And the seabass and shrimp were great. We had about ten in our party and our food was brought out hot.

Haven’t had sea food this fresh since I caught it myself !! Staff was great ! Excellent prices ! It’s two hours from home and will drive it to eat and buy fresh seafood again!

I’ve lived in Florida for 4 years now and this is by far the worst seafood I have had.You can literally smell and taste dirty oil from their fryolater walking in and when you get your food it becomes clear absolutely horrible .Bathrooms are completely discussing.Whoever owns this place should be ashamed and whoever rights good reviews is obviously a friend or relative of theirs.

Was told this was the best seafood in Cedar Keys and we found it a very yummy place to eat. Try it... I don't think you will be disappointed. Extra shout out for their cole slaw, it rocked.

This was recommend by our host Joe at Dreamscape Air Bb! A short drive out of Cedar Key great prices, great staff, great sea food to much food uggg! But we had left over lunch the next day. Had to come back the next day for there key lime pie! Yummy

Great local vibe, friendly service. Fantastic seafood and scratch made sides sauces chowder and gumbo. Highly recommend.

We eat here all the time and normally the food and service is excellent but last night we took our family for a night out and the service was awful and the food was lacking. Soup was cold, we sent back then after out food came the soup finally arrived. The shimp batter was raw, unorganized food running. Its uncomfortable to eat in front of hungry kids who have to wait. Our family came all the way from Tampa and I was embarrassed especially by the sloppy way they threw our seafood refills on one plate and we had to all fish out of the same plate. Refills never came for a few of us. We spent 140$ and lour guests left disappointed. Vefore last night i would gave highly recommended Robinsons but I dont know that ill ever go back now.
